IEC 60870-5-101/Transparent Multimode Modem for Radio

This modem has been specifically developed to be used with remote controllers using IEC 60870-5-101 protocol in balanced mode, and can also be used as a transparent modems. It provides balanced audio inputs and outputs, and can be used with most radios.

This modem is constructed around a powerful digital signal processor, and it has a great degree of flexibility, enabling it to be adapted to customer specific functionalities. As its internal counterpart (P8607 Internal IEC 60870-5-101/Transparent Multimode Modem) it has a common hardware for all its operating modes.

It can work with FSK, FFSK or GMSK modulation types, and can provide data over ratio transmission up to 14400bps. Incorporates a Reed-Solomon forward error correcting algorithm, and It has been designed with the open filosophy that characterizes our product range, being easy to integrate in existing networks.

In the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol mode, this modem can be remotely supervised, enabling functionalities like remote diagnostics and communication statistics gathering.
